Refining the Results by Means of Facets

Located on the left side of the screen, their total number is ten. They allow to refine the search results. Clicking on the facet title allows to visualize the possible choices. Several boxes can be ticked in the same facet. These boxes are linked by the “OR” operator. Then click on “Refine” to view the result.

It is possible to refine several times in a row by repeating this sequence. The operator between the facets is “AND.” On the page of results, the filters used to refine the results can be visualized under the “Your filters” heading, and can be suppressed by clicking on the cross.

The facets

• Full Text: If the document has either a doi (digital object identifier), an external link, or is an AIEA document, more informations about its accessibility can be obtained, on the INIS platform of the AIEA. Click on the record title to display its detailed description, then on the hyperlink of the “Full Text Access” to toggle on this platform.
• Publication Type: The different types of indexed documents are Article, Audiovisual material, Book, Book chapter, Conference, Legislative material, Map, Miscellaneous, Miscellaneous chapter, Multimedia, Patent, Report, Report chapter, Software, Standard, Thesis/Dissertation and Translation.
• Language: Document language.
• Primary and Secondary Subjects: classification code(s), with its/their verbalisation(s).
• Country of Affiliation: Affiliation country of each author.
• Country of Publication: Member country of the cooperation which references the document in the INIS base
• INIS Volume Year: Number of the computer file of the INIS base and of the corresponding year. The number 01 corresponds to the first year of the base, namely 1970. The INIS Volume Year will then be: 01 [1970]. This number is augmented by one unit each year. For the 1971, it will be equal to 02 [1971]
• INIS Volume Issue: Four-figure set which represents the number of the computer file of the INIS base, for the two first figures; the last two ones corresponding to periods of feeding of the base for the year in question. So for 1970, first year of the INIS base and for the first feeding period, the INIS Volume Issue will be 0101.
